The image was inspired by asking myself what would animals do if they could take back their environments? What would they do or react? I envisioned an octopus getting on top of the giant dipper and making it is’ new throne while destroying it because it is unsure what it is and it’s trying to figure out what it is. I wanted to add an octopus because they are extremely intelligent animals. I wanted to showcase the octopus larger than real life to give it power, as a way to switch roles, typically human are larger than the animals we push out of their homes, what would happen if we switched roles? I wanted to image to be at night because I have always though that the Boardwalk looks beautiful at night with all it’s lights. No matter how far you are, you are able to see the beautiful lights under the stars, it contributes to the magic of the Boardwalk.
