This photo was taken in summer 2020 during the pandemic with my then girlfriend, now wife and mother of two. (I proposed soon after this photo was taken.) Unfortunately, none of the rides were operating at the time but we still had fun looking around and I could feel the history of the place. Growing up in San Francisco I remember the commercials playing every afternoon and jingle – At the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in the warm California sun.
