The Giant Dipper is my favorite ride at Santa Cruz so when I heard there was an art contest about my favorite ride, I got so excited. My favorite time to ride the Giant Dipper is at sunset because the sunset is so pretty right when you are going to go downhill on the ride, so in my art work I wanted to have the sunset in the background. I wanted to experiment with this piece of artwork so I used watercolor pencils on the sunset and color penciled the rest with techniques of shading.
